Why WooCommerce or Wordpress
You can create your cosmetics line and sell on you existing Wordpress site that uses WooCommerce to customer orders online. This is technically very difficult and not advisable for most shop owners. You can start with WooCommerce and then let viaGlamour migrate you to Shopify for free."
Transfer products to WooCommerce
Here's a guide on how to sell custom products made by viaGlamour on WooCommerce:
First, create a new product in your WooCommerce store. To do this, go to Products > Add New.
Enter a title for your product and a brief description of what it is. This will be displayed on your store's product page.
Scroll down to the Product Data section and select "Variable product" from the dropdown menu. This will allow you to create variations of the product, such as different colors or sizes.
In the Attributes tab, add any attributes that you want to use for your product variations. For example, if you're selling custom lipsticks, you might want to add attributes for color and finish.
In the Variations tab, create a variation for each combination of attributes. For example, if you added attributes for color and finish, you might create variations for "Red Matte", "Pink Gloss", etc.
In the Inventory tab, set the stock status for each variation. If you don't have any physical inventory, you can set the stock status to "Out of stock".
In the Shipping tab, set the weight and dimensions for the product. This will be used to calculate shipping costs for customers.
Finally, in the Linked Products tab, add any related products or cross-sells that you want to display on the product page.
After you've created your product, go to the viaGlamour app and find the SKU for the product you just created. Copy the SKU code.
Go back to your WooCommerce product page and scroll down to the Product Data section. Under the Variations tab, find the variation that corresponds to the product you created in viaGlamour. In the SKU field, paste the SKU code that you copied from the viaGlamour app.
Save your changes to the product.
Repeat steps 1-11 for each custom product that you want to sell on your WooCommerce store.
Once customers place orders for your custom products on your WooCommerce store, you'll need to manually create the orders in viaGlamour's app. Follow the instructions provided by viaGlamour for importing orders from WooCommerce. After viaGlamour has fulfilled the orders and provided you with tracking numbers, you'll need to manually update the orders in WooCommerce with the tracking numbers.
That's it! Keep in mind that this process can be time-consuming and may not be the best solution for all shop owners. If you're looking for a more streamlined solution for selling custom products online, consider using Shopify instead. Shopify is fully automated and requires no manual work to manage new orders.
Transfer orders from Square
To import orders into viaGlamour from Square, follow these steps:
Log in to your Square account and navigate to the Orders section.
Select the orders that you want to import into viaGlamour and export them as a .csv file.
Log in to your viaGlamour account and go to the Orders section.
Click on "Import Orders" and select the .csv file you just exported from Square.
Map the fields in the .csv file to the corresponding fields in viaGlamour. This includes selecting the correct fields for the items SKUs and the shipping address.
Once you have mapped the fields correctly, click on "Import" to begin the import process.
Your orders will be imported into viaGlamour and will be fulfilled within the next few days.
You will receive tracking numbers for small orders within an hour, while for larger orders, tracking numbers will be made available within a week.
Remember that the SKU code provided by viaGlamour at the bottom of all create product pages within the viaGlamour app is very important and cannot be changed or omitted. Make sure that the SKU code in your Square orders matches the SKU code in viaGlamour to ensure that the correct products are fulfilled. Transfer tracking numbers from viaGlamour
here's a guide on how to copy-paste tracking numbers from viaGlamour and fulfill orders on Square:
After importing orders into viaGlamour, wait a few days until the tracking numbers are available in the app or via email.
Log in to your Square account and navigate to the Orders tab.
Find the order that you want to fulfill and click on it to open the order details.
Look for the shipping information section and click on the "Mark as Shipped" button.
A pop-up window will appear. In this window, you'll see a field for the tracking number.
Go back to viaGlamour and copy the tracking number for the order you want to fulfill.
Return to Square and paste the tracking number into the tracking number field.
If the tracking number is recognized by Square, you'll see a confirmation message that the order has been marked as shipped.
Repeat steps 4-8 for any other orders you want to fulfill with tracking numbers.
That's it! Your customers will receive an email notification with the tracking number and a link to track their shipment.
